Workshop on Silicon Errors in Logic - System Effects (SELSE 2013)

Registration is now open for the ninth annual SELSE workshop, to be held at Stanford University on March 26-27, 2013. The early registration deadline is March 12. Information on registration prices, transportation, and local arrangements is available on the SELSE website (http://softerrors.info/selse/). The organizing committee is planning a dynamic workshop that addresses the system-level effects of errors from a variety of perspectives: architectural, logical, circuit-level, and semiconductor processes.

Keynote speakers include:

*         Dr. Sani Nassif (IBM), who will discuss the defect trends in the most aggressive CMOS technology nodes;

* Dr. John Daly (CEC), who will addresses how reliable computer systems are built from unreliable components; and

* Kushagra Vaid (Microsoft), who will discuss how hardware failures impact cloud compute infrastructure.

In addition, a panel discussion with experts from industry will debate the accuracy of past reliability roadmaps and will confront the current predictions. Finally, a very strong program of oral and poster presentations is under review and will be available shortly.
